From Saas-Fee, I changed buses at Saas-Glund and visited the dammed lake at Mattmark (2,197m).
While I was taking pictures of the surrounding area, a mature man told me that many Italian nationals had been buried under ice and debris in this area decades ago when the Aralin Glacier collapsed.
A memorial stands just downstream from the dam. The bus stop here has only one stop every hour, so I took many pictures.
I got off the bus at Saas Almagell (Sportplatz), took two lifts to Heidbodme, and when I got off the lift at Furggstalden (Furggstalden), I accidentally fell down and bruised my foot.
I was afraid of the lift when I was skiing. I am not afraid of lifts when skiing, but I am not good at anything else.
I took a bus back to the hostel and took a bus to Stalden-Saas station to go to my next destination, Zermatt, and took a train to Zermatt.
