The long, long plane ride is about to begin. It will take 5 hours and 50 minutes to Bangkok, 9 hours and 30 minutes waiting at the airport, and 11 hours and 45 minutes to Zurich, totaling about 27 hours.
Impact of the Ukraine Conflict
The flight is designed to avoid the Ukrainian area, but the shortest flight from Bangkok does not pass through there, so it does not take longer than before.
However, I was a little nervous when passing through that vicinity.
City Tour of St. Gallen
After arriving at Zurich Airport in the morning, I took a train to St. Gallen and arrived before noon. After a few minutes, a cleaner came out from inside the hotel, so I asked him to contact the owner and somehow managed to enter the hotel and leave my luggage there. I then went sightseeing in the city and visited the cathedral, the monastery library, and the old city. Since we were trying to keep costs down, I went to the supermarket in the evening, bought some food, and went back to the hotel for dinner.
