Transfer station: Bad Reichenhall Station
Transfer station: Bad Reichenhall Station

【October 25】

Saturday had different bus schedules, and the nearby stop had no departures. With no other choice, I dragged my suitcase through the fallen leaves to a stop a bit farther away. I later realized the bottom of the suitcase had sustained significant damage. I suppose that's just the fate of suitcases.

I barely made my connecting train at Brechtengaden station, but I managed to board it and breathed a sigh of relief.

The train I boarded wasn't a direct service to Salzburg, so I changed trains at Bad Reichenhall station and arrived safely in Salzburg.

I was a bit tired and had time before check-in, so I tried to charge my nearly dead smartphone while drinking coffee in the station waiting room.

But it barely charged. Something weird?

Also, I wanted to charge both my tablet and phone, but the adapter plug I brought wouldn't fit into the AC outlet. I thought about buying another adapter plug so I could charge multiple devices, but I stopped by a supermarket to look for one and they didn't sell them. This place wasn't like Japan.

Upon arriving at the Yo-ho internal Youth Hostel and entering my room, I found three lockers with two tiers each for personal use. However, my assigned locker was on the top tier, making it nearly impossible to lift my suitcase up. I went to the reception desk to request a change to a lower tier, but they refused.

But then an angel appeared!

A beautiful, stylish female staff member who was cleaning kindly intervened and got them to change it for me.

I had prepared a Daruma keychain just for someone like her. When I gave it to her, she happily hugged me. It was more joy than just a keychain. After that, every time I saw her, I called out, “You're an angel❣”

If we weren't so different in age, I would have loved to be friends with her~

👈 I had five of these ready.

I went to the supermarket to buy dinner and tomorrow's breakfast.

Room 4's Austrian, Michel, and Room 3's Singaporean, Luca, entered the room.

Late at night, a Chinese couple? Even later, an Italian couple?

Summary

  1. For bus tours lasting several days, you may not be able to board the tour on your desired date and time unless you book well in advance.

  2. Note that supermarkets and shops in Europe often close or have reduced hours on weekends, so be mindful of this.
